Lee Edward Bryant

Lee Edward Bryant, age 91, passed into Glory on Monday, January 30, 2023.  He was born on April 16, 1931, to the late Elizabeth Belle Parsons Bryant and Millard Alexander Bryant.  Lee was a veteran of the United States Army, a long-time employee of Raytheon, and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Widener Bryant; sister, Elizabeth “Teeny” Stamper and brother, Millard Alexander Bryant, Jr.

Survivors include his children, Joyce (Mike) Arnold, Melissa (Victor) Norwood, and Terry (Sandy) Bryant; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, in Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Kevin Rogerson and Pastor William Arnold officiating.  Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, VA with Travis Arnold, Gavin Norwood, Gideon Arnold, Jack Thurston, Jr., Jake Hall, and Jett Andrews serving as pallbearers..  Military rites will be conducted by D.A.V. Chapter 39, Bristol, TN and the Virginia Army National Guard.
