Lena Virginia McVey, age 89, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James McVey, one son, Jesse James Thomas; four daughters, Virginia Mae Tuggle, Joyce Ann Rosenbaum, Linda Darlene McVey, and Barbara Ilene Judy Wray; three brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Allen McVey and wife Sally of Damascus, VA, Charles Howard McVey and wife Angel of Damascus, VA, and Joseph D. McVey and Sherrie Kay of Saltville, VA; one daughter, Anna Marie O'Quinn of the home; one son-in-law, Thomas Dewey Tuggle of Chilhowie, VA; two sisters, Nora Mae McVey and Mary Magdalene Widener; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at Mount Olivet Cemetery with Reverend Roger O'Quinn officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
