Lewis Franklin Mock

Lewis Franklin Mock, 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Bristol , VA.
He was born August 17, 1929 in Washington County, Virginia and was a son of the late Albert B. and Margaret Thayer Mock. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia and a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church .
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, A.T. Mock and a sister, Frances Durham.
Survivors include his nephew, John Durham and wife, Debbie of Bristol and their son, J.J. Durham and wife, Angela of Bristol; one sister, Nancy Grubb of Erwin , TN ; sister-in-law, Thelma Mock of Bristol and several nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 20, 2012 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Dr. Bob Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park . Pallbearers will be Wayne McCall, Jim McCall, Michael Warren, Ronnie Grubb, Terry Grubb, Brian Mock, Stuart McCall and Kelsey Stuart. Military honors will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either, Euclid Avenue Baptist Church , 900 Euclid Ave. , Bristol , VA 24201 or Appalachian Express Chorus, P.O Box 1322 , Kingsport , TN 37664
