Lillian Mullins Beverly

Lillian Mullins Beverly, age 89, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Abingdon, VA. She was a native of Dickenson County, born October 26, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kedric Mullins and Tilda Fuller Mullins; son, James "Jim" Beverly; and an infant daughter, Diane Beverly.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Edmond Beverly; son, John Beverly and wife Teresa; sister, Eileen Branham and husband Leonard; three grandchildren, Justin Beverly, Bradley Beverly, and Allison Osborne and husband Greg; and two great grandchildren, Kai Osborne and Lorelai Osborne.
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday at Forest Hills Chapel with Reverend Mark McFadden officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 329 Whites Mill Road, Abingdon, VA 24210.
