Linda Rhea Taylor, age 79, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Rehab Center at Bristol. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Abingdon.
She was born on Christmas Day 1941 to the late Harry Danielson and Evelyn Snead Danielson and was raised in Buchanan County, Va. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lesa Felker, who passed away in 2018; and a sister, Joyce Duncan.
Linda is survived by her husband, of 26 years, Eugene Harold “Gene” Taylor; son, James McConal Ratliff, Jr. and wife, Kristi, of Rutherford College, N.C.; son-in-law, Alan Felker of Deep Gap, N.C.; two sisters, Brenda Ashby and husband, Curtis, and Joan Miller all of Hickory, N.C.; four grandchildren, Stacey Kretzschmar, Erin Willems, Carrie Berryhill, and Jacob Ratliff; and two great grandchildren, Alan Kretzschmar and Ellie Berryhill.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 185 Old Jonesboro Rd., Abingdon, Va. 24210, with Minister Tom Crise officiating. A committal service will follow in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucy Looney, Carol Cole, Janet Morrell, Dona Keene, Buddy Taylor, and Jason Taylor.
