Linda Sue "Susan" Sims

Linda Sue (Susan) Sims, age 74, of Bristol, VA passed away on November 9, 2022, at Commonwealth Nursing Home in Front Royal, VA.  She was born July 3, 1948, in Lebanon, KY a daughter of the late Walter and Josephine Gaddie.  Susan had lived in Bristol since 1987 and retired as a schoolteacher.  She was a member of Central Christian Church. 

Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years - Philip Sims (recently deceased). 

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Kristi Peterson and husband Doug, Deana Miller and husband Todd, Jennifer Leonard and husband Mike, Jonathan Sims and wife Amanda, Jeremy Sims and wife Kimberly, Lea Sims and Ben; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Gaddie and Estel Gaddie; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Forest Hills location of Farris Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Minister Mark Overton officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 2319 Browns Mill Rd Suite D6, Johnson City, TN 37604. Arrangements have been made with Farris Funeral Home.
