Lois Ann Hash

October 14, 1939 — June 26, 2019

Heaven has gained an incredible angel. Lois Ann Hash went to be with our Lord and Savior at her home early in the morning of Wednesday, June 26, 2019.  Lois was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many.  She was born on October 14, 1939.  Lois was 79 years of age.  She lived a life worth admiring, full of love and laughter and warm memories with all of her family and friends.  Her strength, resilience, and never-ending faith were just a few of the admirable traits she instilled in loved ones and thus have been passed on through them.  There are numerous feats in Lois’s life that are a gleaming example of her faith and strength, however, one of the most notable is the 23 years she spent as an Army wife, one of the most difficult jobs there is.

Lois Hash was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Glen “Bud” Hash; parents, L.C. Bolling and Dorothy Christine Richardson Bolling; two sisters, Linda Worley and Sylvia Helbert; and a brother, Timothy Bolling.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Barry) Dickenson; son, William “Bill” (Trish) Hash; five grandchildren, Chandler (Kayla) Dickenson, Jessica (Ben) Smith, Colton (Sarah) Dickenson, Chris Sutherland, and Chase (Summer) Dickenson; great grandchild, Avery Smith; three siblings, Peggy Baldwin, Chuck (Beverly) Bolling, and Donna Bolling; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Green Cove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jeffrey Blaylock officiating.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to convene at the funeral home on Sunday before 1:30 p.m. to travel in procession to the cemetery.
