Lois Jean Otey Snead

Abingdon, VA – Lois Jean Otey Glass Snead, age 72, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2021, at Abingdon Health & Rehab.  She was born January 31, 1949, to the late John and Evelyn Marie Otey.

In addition to her parents, Lois was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Coleburn Snead; daughter, Elizabeth Glass; two grandsons, Matthew Lindsey Glass and Matthew Kevin Kennedy; sister, Janice Thomas; and brother, Richard Bogue.

She is survived by two daughters, Sadie Jean Glass and Jennifer Darlene Snead both of Abingdon, Va.; two sisters, Gaynell Garland, and Shirley Eller; brother, Earl Canter; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Immediately following the visitation, a procession will travel to Knollkreg Memorial Park for graveside services.  Pastor Paul Price will officiate, and music will be provided by Ken and Chris Holmes.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends may call on the family prior to the visitation at the home of Lois’ sister, Gaynell Garland, at 26436 Watauga Road, Abingdon, VA.
