Lois Haze Price

Abingdon, VA – Lois Haze Caldwell Price, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.  Lois was a graduate of Bethel High School and a former employee of Parks Belk.  She later owned and operated G & O Hardware for over 40 years.  Lois was a woman of deep faith and known as the “Cross Lady” to many for passing out small crosses and prayer cards to numerous people.  She enjoyed talking to people, including customers, and praying with total strangers that needed prayer as she never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton King Caldwell and Ruby Mae Keller Caldwell; husband, Don Ellis Price; and granddaughter, Tanya Pope Meade.

Lois is survived by two daughters, Diana Meade and Debbie G. Price, both of Abingdon, VA; sister, Reba Goodman of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren, Mindy Wilborn and Bradley Rasnake; five great grandchildren, Trey Hodge, Donnie Moore, Elyssa Wilborn, Harlie Wilborn, and Emberlyn Mae Rasnake; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Fritz officiating.  Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
