Lola Elizabeth Gobble Ritter

Bristol, VA – Lola Elizabeth Gobble Ritter, age 77, passed on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.  Lola was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Morgan Gobble and Anna Lou Harmon Gobble; husband, Howard Cameron Ritter; and brothers, Verlin and Melvin Gobble. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Jimmy) Johnson of Bristol, VA; sisters, Julie (Dale) Mitchell of Bristol, VA, Betty Orfield of Abingdon, VA; Nancy Baldwin of Abingdon, VA, and Marie (Eddie) Fields of Abingdon, VA; brothers, Clifford Gobble, Ernest (Darlene) Gobble, Jack (Patty) Gobble, and Clyde Gobble, all of Abingdon, VA; granddaughter, Samantha Cox; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Carolyn Helbert and Joan Lawson Pierce; and loyal companion, her dog “Paddy”. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Gary Harless officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jason Fields, Lonnie Bullins, Jeff Gobble, Ron Gobble, Eric Gobble, and Tommy Orfield.  Guy Carrier, George Houser, and Eddie Fields will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery.  COVID-19 precautions must be observed.
