Mr. Lonnie Gene Reynolds, age 80, of Abingdon, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019.
Lonnie was born January 28, 1939 in Washington County, Virginia to the late Charles Woodrow Reynolds and the late Trula Francis Rector Reynolds. Lonnie served in the United States Army serving in Germany. Lonnie retired from Bristol Products with 40 years of service. Lonnie enjoyed yard work and gardening.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Joyce Warren Reynolds; daughter, Rebecca Anne Kite of Parshall, N.D.; son, Jason Reynolds and wife, Stephanie of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Brittany Hope Kite, Matthew and Andrew Reynolds, Taylor Lynn Reynolds, and Piper Layne Reynolds; sister-in-law, Loretta Slemp and husband, Hugh; brother-in-law, Dale Warren and wife, Sue; aunt, Bertha Mae Sanders; uncles, Gene “Doc” Hearl and George “JR” Hearl and wife, Doris and special friend, Marti Head.
The family will receive friends from 2 -3:30 pm Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The burial service will be held 1:45 pm, Monday, March 11, 2019 in Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:30 pm. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army National Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Lonnie's special friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Reynolds family at 404 Cedarwood Court, Kingsport, TN 37663.
