Bristol, VA – Loretta Smith Dye, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Abingdon Health & Rehab Center. She was born May 8, 1932 to late W.A. Smith and Tencie Smith. Loretta was a member of Reynolds Memorial Methodist Church in Bristol. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wilburn Smith. Loretta is survived by four children, H. Eugene Dye and wife Kaye of Atlanta, GA, Lovena Swygert and husband Lander of Abingdon, VA, Keith Dye of Bristol, TN, and Tim Dye and wife Amy of Abingdon, VA; two brothers, Perry Smith of Sylvatus, VA and David Smith of Fancy Gap, VA; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the Smith-Montgomery Cemetery in Sylvatus, VA with Rev. David Bays officiating.
