Louise Ingle Wampler, age 90, peacefully passed away on September 15, 2023, at NHC Bristol VA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Louise was born on July 25, 1933, in Washington County, VA, to the late Willis Anthony Ingle and Margaret Ella McCroskey Ingle.
Louise dedicated 25 years of her life to the US Postal service. Her commitment and hard work were exemplary, and she left a lasting impression on her colleagues and the community she served.
In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband, George Kenneth Wampler and her sister, Maude Woodyard.
Outside of her career, Louise had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She was passionate about sewing aprons and quilting, showcasing her creativity in crafting beautiful pieces. Collecting glassware was another one of her hobbies.
She found solace in gardening flowers and herbs. Spending time tending to her garden brought her immense satisfaction as she nurtured the vibrant blooms and aromatic herbs.
Louise will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her loving son Clarence Wampler and daughter-in-law Brenda Wampler; son Bill Wampler and daughter-in-law Pat Wampler; grandchildren Amy Marchant (Trevor) and Kenny Wampler (Crystal); great-grandchildren Chelsey Snider(Dalton), Kendra Wampler(Conrad Thacker), Maddie Marchant (Ethan McGlothlin); and great-great-granddaughter Nova Snider.
The family will received friends the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA on September 19th, 2023. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Friends may call at anytime at the home of Bill and Pat Wampler.
A graveside service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 12:30 PM with Randy Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Louise. This will honor her generous spirit and continue her legacy of making a positive impact on others' lives.
Louise Ingle Wampler will forever be remembered for her dedication, creativity, and kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched throughout her life. May she rest in eternal peace.
