Mulberry, Fl. Lucille Hensley Jones, age 75, died peacefully in Good Shepherd Hospice on Friday, September 18, 2015. Mrs. Jones was born in Pound, Va. on October 22, 1939 to the late Bascom and Alice Hensley; she married Robbie Willis Jones on March 3, 1956 in Aberdeen, Md. The Jones’ retired to Lakeland, Fl. in 2005 and are active members of the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Eaton Park, Fl. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas and Vernoy Hensley; three sisters, Linda Hensley, Kathy Hensley, and Goldie Roark; and two brothers-in-law, Marion Roark and Alvin Williams. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robbie Willis Jones; daughter, Barbara Scorsome and husband Mike of Lakeland, Fl.; sons Bart Jones and wife Loretta, Terry Jones and wife Stacie, and Bret Jones, all of Lakeland, Fl.; two sisters, Fayetta Williams of Forest Hill, Md., and Beverly Bailey and husband Barry of Abingdon, Va.; four brothers, Neal Hensley of Abingdon, Robbie Hensley and wife Dolores of Abingdon, Randy Hensley and wife Debbie of Abingdon, and Kenny Hensley and wife Ann of Arcadia, Fl.; seven grandchildren, Chad Jones of Abingdon, Jonathan Jones of Lakeland, Fl., Daniel Jones and wife Amber of Abingdon, Darren Jones of Ocala, Fl., Michael Scorsome of Lakeland, Fl., Tiffany Jones Somerlot and husband Cory of Lakeland, Fl., and Vanessa Jones of Lakeland, Fl.; five great-grandchildren, Haley and Hannah Jones of Abingdon, Tristyn and Cassidy Traylor of Lakeland, Fl., and April Somerlot, also of Lakeland, Fl.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Valley View Free Will Baptist Church, Spoon Gap Road, Abingdon, Va., with Pastor Herbert Bailey and Pastor Dwight Skeans officiating. Interment will be held in Valley View Cemetery with Daniel Jones, Michael Scorsome, Cory Somerlot, Tony Roark, Brad Bailey, and Eric Bailey serving as pallbearers.
