Lucinda Boggs Martin, age 62, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Abingdon Health and Rehab Center. She was born May 22, 1959, to the late Warren Boggs and Dana Hurt Boggs in Bristol, Tenn. She was formerly employed at SmithKline Beecham. Lucinda’s true passion was caring for her family as a devoted housewife and mother. She was the kindest, smartest, most beautiful soul and was a friend to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Lucinda was a longtime member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Preston Lee Martin; son, Zachary Preston Martin of Johnson City, Tenn.; daughter, Gwendolyn Grace Martin of Bristol, Va.; four siblings: Sandra Kosarski and husband, Roger; Kenneth Boggs and wife, Cindy; Cathy Nuttall and husband, David; and Jean Boggs-Rowe and husband, David; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
