Lucinda Gail Davis Adelstein, age 78, of Washington County, Va., passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She had been a resident of NHC HealthCare, Bristol for some time. She was born August 6, 1942, to the late Homer Creed Davis and Retha J. Kiser Davis in Lebanon, Va. Gail was a member of Mountain View Community Church in Lebanon, Va. She will be remembered as a devoted mother.
In addition to her parents, Gail was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Adelstein; and two brothers, Horace J. Davis and Orville T. Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. Mullins and husband, Terry, of Abingdon; two sons, Todd Smith and wife, Amanda, of Montgomery, Texas and Charles K. Parker of Bristol, Va.; four siblings: Helen J. McReynolds of Lebanon; Juanita D. Campbell and husband, Paul, of Lebanon; Danny Davis and wife, Diane, of Lebanon, Va.; and Bernard Davis and wife, Norma, of DeRidder, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Mason T. Smith, Zachary Smith, Owen Smith, Claire Smith, and Joshlyn Parker; numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In accordance with Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing practices will be implemented, and face masks will be required for attendance.
