Lula Cox

Abingdon, VA – Lula Laken Cox, age 91, went to be with Jesus, on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Mary Cox. Mrs. Cox was a native of Mendota, VA and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Calvin Cox, and two daughters. Survivors include her sons, Bobby Cox, Donnie Cox, Jimmy Cox, and Rickie Cox; daughters, Mary Jane Cox, Wanda Eller, and Ruth Lester; 21 grandchildren and over 40 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be the sons and daughters per Mrs. Cox’s request. Visitation with the family will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, just prior to the service at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415, Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210, (276) 623-2700.
