Lula McCracken Wheeler, 81, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 in Abingdon Manor.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lettie McCracken; husband, Glen Wheeler; one son, Eugene Wheeler; one sister, Marie Miller and three brothers, Samuel Hutton McCracken, Jim McCracken and Richard McCracken.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Wheeler and wife, Hazel of Abingdon and Doug Wheeler and wife, Renea of Cleveland, TN; daughter, Linda Helton and husband, Roger of Abingdon; daughter-in-law, Wanda Wheeler of Cleveland, TN; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Paul Norris officiating. The procession to the cemetery will leave Farris Funeral Service at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Heath Stephens, Brandon Wheeler, Lloyd Wheeler, Buford Doss, Harvey Helton and Adam Helton.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
