Mabel Duncan Graybeal peacefully entered her heavenly home, Monday, November 26. 2012. She was pre-deceased by her parents; Bryant and Dellaphine Duncan; her four sisters Edith Luttrell of Bristol, TN; Juanita Browning of Meadowview, VA; Helen Webster of Winston-Salem, NC; and Rubye Pruner of Johnson City, TN. She was also pre-deceased by her daughter, Sheila Graybeal Lail of Maryville, TN.
Mother, shared with our father, the late Edward D. Graybeal, four children, Sheila Graybeal Lail, Brenda Graybeal of Meadowview, VA, Doug Graybeal of Blue Eye, MO, and Elaine Graybeal Mock of Winston-Salem, NC.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Danny Lail, Kelly Rierson, Susan Inman, and Nikki Speas and her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Brodrick Rierson, and Kathryn and Aaron Inman.
Mabel was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Johnson City, TN and retired as Store Manager and District Trainer of the S&H Green Stamp Company. She also served as President of Greenwood Business and Professional Women's Club in Greenwood, SC.
Our family remembers our loved one as a beautiful and inspiring Christian, teacher, mother, and generous caregiver to many. She will also be remembered as our sweet, soft-haired granny, with a terrific sense of humor who lived with peace in her heart. She is and always will be loved and honored by all who knew her and remembered for her ability to say her ABCs in reverse order at rapid speed. One of her special loves was dancing, which she did until a year before her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Ron Inman officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
