Funeral services for Mabel Virginia Dolinger Farmer Green will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service in Abingdon, VA. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m., Friday in the Mountain Home National Veteran's Cemetery. Mrs. Green passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Sherman, TX at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 7 days.
Mabel was the youngest of 10 children born to the late Roby Dolinger and Lydia Blevins Dolinger. Mabel was raised in Whitetop, VA. She had lived in Sherman, TX since 1995. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Green is survived by her son, Michael Dewey Farmer and his wife Janna of Elk Creek, VA; daughter, Sue Carol Farmer Anderson and husband Franklin "Andy" Anderson of Sherman, TX; son-in-law, Theodore Czmyr of Trenton, NJ; five grandchildren and their spouses, Melissa Simmons and husband Michael of McKinney, TX, Timothy Czmyr and wife Maria of St. Augustine, FL, Teresa Rosall and husband Richard of Trenton, NJ, Melinda Browning and husband Robert of Wylie, TX, and Nikki Sharp and husband Bradley of Independence, VA. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; sister, Zenna Howell of Whitetop, VA; and a very close friend, Rob Cox, of Warrensville, NC.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; one daughter, Earlene Czmyr; and two husbands, Earl Farmer and Robert Green.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 14298 Lee Highway, Bristol, VA 24202, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
