Maleen Barrett Mosolgo, age 90, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, VA.
A resident of Abingdon, VA, she was born in Honaker, VA, a daughter of the late Rufus and Flora Barrett. Mrs. Mosolgo was a homemaker, an avid vegetable and flower gardener, and enjoyed quilting and painting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank; sisters, Hazel, Clara, and Lois and a brother, Paul.
Survivors include her sister, Vaughn of Richmond, VA; three sons, John of Lexington, KY, Gerald of Cedar Bluff, VA and Robert of Charlottesville, VA; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mosolgo will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA with Pastor Josh Cole. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Robert Mosolgo-Clark, Alex Mosolgo-Clark, Eric Mosolgo, John Mosolgo, Robert Mosolgo and Gerald Mosolgo.
The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
