Margaret Ella “Mag” Nash, age 90, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 14, 1927, to the late John William Bowers and Georgia Pearl Blevins Bowers in Washington County, Va. Mag lived all her life in Washington County, Va. and was a member of Maple Grove Presbyterian Church. She worked hard to provide for her family with a smile like sunshine and a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Mag was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Nash; six brothers, Edgar Lee Bowers, James Clarence “Page” Bowers, William Roscoe “Shine” Bowers, John W. “Tobe” Bowers, E.H. “Nub” Bowers, and Ralph “Willie” Bowers; and five sisters, Daisy Marie Harley, Nora Pearl Harley, Nellie Delores Anderson, Ethel Dickenson, and Katherine Ruth Dowell.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Franklin Nash and wife, Traci, of Bristol, Va., Jerry Freeman Nash and wife, Cheryl, of Abingdon, Va., and Garland William Nash of Bristol, Va.; brother, Jackie “Tuff” Bowers; five sisters, Eva Moore, Betty “Beck” Watson, Faye Lester, Anne Roark, and Carolyn Tomlinson; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Stephen Talbert officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Dale Nash, Mark Nash, Todd Nash, Tyler Nash, Trey Bussey, and Bruce Hagy will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
