Margaret Greer

Abingdon, VA – Margaret Greer, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Dean Greer; parents, Charlie and Grace Taylor; sisters, Mary Turner and Dot See; and brother, Alvin Taylor.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Greer and husband Jessie Kennedy, Carmen Honaker, and Rachel Talley and husband Darin; sister, Hazel Mitchell and husband Roger; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews which she dearly loved. Margaret is also survived by her little Chihuahua, Ellie.

Visitation with the family will be held 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Rhudy Cemetery with Tony Mitchell, David Carroll, Brad Main, Colton Smallwood, Eric Greer, and Jessie Kennedy serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Rogers, Roger Mitchell, and Bud Rowe.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Johnston Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Greer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rhudy Cemetery, 3109 Denton Road, Bristol, TN 37620, in Mrs. Greer’s name.
