Margaret Inez Long Eades, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Abingdon Health & Rehab Center. Ms. Eades was employed as a payroll attendant at Bristol Memorial Hospital and also worked at Zimmerman's Hallmark. She was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church and loved gardening. Inez is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar John Long and Leo Clifton Long; sister, Marie Wynegar; the father of her children, A. Mont Eades; and stepson, James Eades.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Brenda) Eades of Abingdon, VA, Mark (Crystal) Eades of Daleville, VA, and Bob (Betty) Eades of Abingdon, VA; brother, Billy Jack (Violet) Long of Abingdon, VA; sisters, Carolyn (Carl) Lunsford of Abingdon, VA and Gay (Preston) Willis of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Blake Eades, Matthew Eades, Colin Eades, Shanna Chaney, Brianna Eades, and several step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Mallorie, Andrew, and Brayden.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Barbara Farmer and Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Jayde Fleenor, Jerry Leonard, Jimmy Kroll, Blake Roark, Jeff Sullins, and Tom Wynegar serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant View United Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210, in Ms. Eades' name.
