Margaret Louise McVey

Mrs. Margaret Louise McVey, 81 of Frederick , MD and formerly of Damascus , VA , died peacefully surrounded by her two daughters on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital , Frederick, MD.
Born December 6, 1930 in Washington County , VA , she was the daughter of the late Isaac Harrison McCracken and Hessie Greer McCracken. Her husband, Joseph C. McVey, died in 2006 after 54 years of marriage.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruby Herald and husband Larry of Frederick, MD, Nancy Browning of Damascus, MD and Husband Dale, and three sons, Kenneth McVey and wife Joyce of Tazewell, VA, Roland McVey and wife Sherry of Abingdon, VA, and Joseph McVey and wife Deborah of Columbus, GA; 10 Grandchildren, 5 of which will be Pallbearers and 25 Great-Grandchildren; Three sisters, Mary Pippin, Nettie Parris, Gladys Hodgson; One Brother, Isaac McCracken.
She attended Church Services as well as enjoyed many of the activities especially Bingo at Golden Living Center where she resided for 3 three years. She is preceded indeath by one grandson, Kenneth McVey, Jr., one sister, Anna Barbara McCracken, and two brothers, Everett and Tom McCracken.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Molesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road , Damascus , MD 20872 . A funeral Service will be held in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main Street , Abingdon , VA 24210 , Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 am. Family will receive friend one hour prior to the service at Farris Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park , Damascus , Virginia .
