Marie Lena Restivo Pirrello, age 88, passed on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA. Mrs. Pirrello resided in Florida for most of her life where she was a retired school teacher. She recently moved to Virginia and is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rosie Camarata Restivo, husband, James Raymond Pirrello, and sister, Rosalee Hansen.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Ken) Farmer of Meadowview, VA and Rhonda Ireland of Lookout Mountain, GA; two sisters, Phyllis Levin and Beverly Williamson both of Indiana; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A cryptside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Serenity Gardens Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating.
A service will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
