Meadowview, Va. - Marsha Jean Joyce, 56, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, at her home in Meadowview, Va. She was born February 28, 1960, in San Bernardino, Calif. Marsha was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as General Manager of both Cracker Barrel and Applebees. She had a green thumb and harbored a great love for animals.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Flowers; and sister, Nancy Willis. Marsha is survived by her mother, Adele Willis Huyck of Meadowview, Va.; husband, Kenneth Joyce; three sons, Wesley Brown of Waynesburg, Pa., Tim Joyce and Matt Joyce, both of the home; daughter, Whitney Shrader and husband Wade of Bristol, Va.; sister, Janie Fobbs and husband Joel of Homestead, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bayleigh and Bella Shrader, ages 4 and 2 respectively and both of Bristol, and Eden and Allie Brown, ages 13 and 6 respectively and both of Richlands, Va.; and two foster sons, Jordan Chaney and Ryan Hagy, both of Abingdon.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, with Bishop Andrew Newicki officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, at the Forest Hills Chapel.
