Abingdon, VA - Marsha Via DeLong, age 64, died on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a 1970 graduate of Abingdon High School and a member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church. Marsha majored in Theatre Arts and minored in Home Economics at Virginia Tech. She worked as a professional stage manager for several years before transitioning to television production. In retirement, Marsha was well-known as an extraordinary and inventive candle maker, trademarking a line of Candles for Guys (tm).

She was pre-deceased by her father, Glennie Via, sister, Mary Glenn Via, and former husband, David A. DeLong.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Via of the home, and half-brother Ronnie E. Via of Staunton, VA.

Marsha will be dearly missed by her Godson, Liam McManus and his mother Colleen; dear friends, Lori Ward, Tina Goodpasture, Anne Wampler, Penny Willis; and cousins on both sides.
