Martha Ann Broyles Snyder, age 86, passed on Monday, December 2, 2019, in Commonwealth Senior Living. Martha was a 1950 graduate of Big Creek High School in War, W. Va. and was a nurse anesthetist for over 40 years, of which over 30 years were served at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston Taylor Broyles and May Reese Queener Broyles; husband, Samuel Ray Snyder; brother, Vernon Broyles; and sisters, Francine Hoffman and Sue Broyles.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Lynn Petty and husband Don of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Samantha Petty and Matthew Petty; great-grandson, Paul Betts; and special friends, Patty and David McCall, Flo Porter, and Carolyn Swanson.
A cryptside celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019, in the Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Cass Farrior officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Commonwealth Senior Living for the wonderful care provided to Mrs. Snyder.
