Mary Ethel Miller, 80, of Abingdon, VA passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia and lived in the Wyndale community. She had worked as a seamstress at Big Jack Overall Factory in Bristol. She was a member of the Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus O. Davison, Sr. and Ella Pullon Davison; brothers, Cyrus Davison, Jr. and Fred Davison and grandson, Richard Eaton.
Survivors are her husband, H. Russell Miller; daughters, Robin Eaton of Bristol, VA and Carolyn Osborne and husband, Dexter of Meadowview, VA; sisters, Edna Tester and husband, Conway, Hazel Price and husband, R.K., Minnie Hobbs and husband, Joe all of Bristol, VA and Margaret Moore and husband, Gerald of Abingdon; one brother, Herbert Davison and wife, Cheri of Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Rochelle Eaton, Melissa Roberts and husband, Allen, Tina Stanley and Vickie Poore and husband, Matt; great grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Danielle, Ricky, Cindy and Sarah Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would also like to extend thanks to special friends at Abingdon Manor and Grace Healthcare.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Blackwell's Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be receiving friends at Farris Funeral Service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2011 or anytime at the home of Mrs. Miller's sister, Edna Tester, 853 Portsmouth, Dr. Bristol, VA.
