Mary Lois Eggers Rutledge

Mary Lois Eggers Rutledge, age 88, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the home of her son, Noah Richard Rutledge, in Front Royal, VA. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Emma Eggers, her husband, Russell Rutledge, and sons Johnny and Phil.

Known fondly by her family and friends as "Tooty," she is survived by her sons, "Dickie" and wife Rita, Front Royal, Gail and wife Jane, Abingdon, daughters-in-law Linda Rutledge, Abingdon, and Barbara Rutledge, Bristol. Tooty also leaves behind grandchildren Randy, Angie, Jay, Judd, John, Wendy, Crystal Rutledge, Melanie West, and Jessica Stewart, and great-grandchildren, Colton, Judson, Jaren, Randal, Daniel, Caressa, Avery Bailey, Ryan Ray, Kevin Patterson, Jr., Nicholas, Kamryn, Alex Stewart, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 8 PM at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, with nephew Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 1 PM at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jay, Judd, John, Randy, Colton Rutledge, Kevin Patterson, Sr., Kevin Patterson, Jr., and Malcolm Quesenberry. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Ray, Avery Bailey, Charles Whitaker, Bill Jones, Larry and Jerry Eggers, and Don and Gene Compton.
