Mary Reynolds Branson

Mary Reynolds Branson, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at James River Convalescent Home in Newport News, Virginia. She was a member of Shady Grove Pentecostal Church and an employ of Harwood.

She was born to the late Everett and Annie Johnson Reynolds. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Branson; and two sons, James Edward Branson and Robert Wayne Branson.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Branson and wife Carolyn of Newport News, VA and John D. Branson and wife Karen of Abingdon, VA; daughter-in-law, Mary Branson of Knoxville, TN; two foster sons, Larry DeFriece and David DeFriece of Abingdon, VA; one sister, Margaret Ford of Bristol, TN; eleven grandchildren, Joseph L. Branson, James E. Branson, II, John William Branson, Charles Christopher Branson, Darlene Blakely, Melody Branson, Michael Branson, Bobby Joe Branson, Rita Branson, Diane Honeycutt, and Angie Seacamp; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012 with Pastor Fred Reynolds amd Bro. Brandon Canter officiating. Interment to follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, April 19, 2012. Pallbearers will be Joseph L. Branson, James E. Branson, II, John William Branson, and Charles Christopher Branson, Michael Reynolds, and David DeFriece. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry DeFriece, Stephen Reynolds, and Tony Reynolds.
