Mary Virginia Grace went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2011.
She is the last surviving child of the late William Jeremiah and Polina Ann Grace. She was retired from Harwood Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator. She enjoyed reading, gardening and canning. She is preceded in death by four brothers, Vick, Robert, Gordon and Lawrence Grace; three sisters, Lucele and Catherine Grace and Helen Lester; a brother in law, Robert Lester; and a sister in law, Mildred Grace..
She is survived by two nephews, Bobby Grace and Bill Lester; and a niece Linda Lester; three great nieces, Connie Pierce, Katie Lester, and Maggie Lester; one great nephew, Chris Grace; two great-great nephews, Brandon and Shane Pierce; and two great-great nieces, Maddie and Cassie Grace; and a sister in law, Dot Grace.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, Virginia with Pastor Greg L. Hensley officiating. Those attending the graveside service should assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia.
