Melody Elaine Lawson Bowers

Abingdon, VA – Melody Elaine Lawson Bowers, age 72, passed on Saturday, March 13, 2021.  Melody was the house keeping supervisor at Martha Washington Inn where she worked for 48 years.  She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Snead Lawson, and husband, Michael Bowers. 

She is survived by her son, Travis Bowers; daughter, Misty Bowers; granddaughter, Aleah Bowers; brothers, Michael Lawson, Marvin (Thelma) Lawson, and Eddie (Gayle) Lawson; sisters, Barbara Bradley and Mary Bradley; and several nieces and nephews.

 Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery.
