Merilyn Williams Coulthard, 75, passed on Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Merilyn was a 1961 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and lived with her husband in many areas of the country before moving to Virginia in 1975. She and her husband were co-owners of Southeast Press & Wheel for 22 years until her retirement. Merilyn enjoyed watching all birds, especially hummingbirds, and working puzzles. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.
Merilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Emma Williams; brother, Ray Williams; and an infant sister. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Sammy Coulthard; and children, Dale Coulthard of Charlotte, N.C. and Renee Coulthard of Concord, N.C.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emory United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 985, Emory, VA 24327, in Mrs. Coulthard’s name.
