Michael Farley Combs

Michael Farley Combs, age 44, of Glade Spring, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 28, 2017, at his home. Mike was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Meadowview and was employed at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem as a respiratory therapist.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marian Jones Combs; parents, Farley Combs and Loretta Sullivan Combs of Bee, Va.; mother and father-in- law, Sharon and Jack Burke of Meadowview, Va.; brother-in-law, John Jones and wife Crystal of Troutville, Va.; nephews, Jacob Jones and Jared Jones; and special cousins, Verna Barton and Vernal Boyd, II.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Ketron Memorial Cemetery where Chris Bostic, Jacob Jones, Jared Jones, John Jones, Charlie Sullivan, Dwayne Sullivan, and Randall Wilson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernal Boyd, II and Wayne Runyons. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to convene at the funeral home by 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
