Michael Sunset Fields

Michael Sunset Fields went to be with the lord on December 17, 2024. He was of the Baptist faith, loved working on cars, bluegrass music and most of all, his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Fields; sisters, Penny Jenkins, Debbie Roark and Holly Autwell; and brother, Timmy Brewer.

Michael leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Barbara Fields; daughters, Emily Jones (husband, Johnny) and Lisa Gragg (husband, Sonny); son, Michael Fields, Jr. (fiancée, Cassie); seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother, Rex Brewer; sisters, Linda Harding, Melody Brewer and Tracy Brewer; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 427 E. Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Tony Woods officiating. The burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Jones Lewis Cemetery in Creston, NC with Aaron Jones, Dakota Jones, Dylan Smith, Logan Fields, Sonny Gragg and Justin Parks service as pallbearers.
