Michael Jeffery Church

Michael Jeffery Church, age 67, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his brother’s home. He was born August 31, 1954, in Buchanan County, Va. to the Kimer Jackie Church, Sr. and Zola Fletcher Church. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Lou Adkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Church Parsons and husband, Jake, of Virginia Beach, Va.; five siblings: Kimer Jackie Church, Jr. of Abingdon, Va.; Denny Church and wife, Charlotte, of Georgetown, Fla; Kathy Lynn Stacy and husband, Walter Ray, of Abingdon, Va.; Thomas Keith Church and wife, Jearline, of Abingdon, Va.; and Sandra Gail Stacy of Swords Creek, Va.; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Elder William McClanahan officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Mason Rife, Dylan Wolford and employees of Norfolk Southern Railway will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
