Michael Lee Skeen

September 27, 1966 — February 8, 2021

Michael Lee Skeen of Abingdon, Virginia entered into peace on February 8, 2021.

He was the son of Jay Skeen and the late Nancy Skeen of Abingdon. In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his sister Linda Vesci, and brother-in-law Frank of Southport, NC; nephew, Daniel Vesci and wife Kate of Highland Home, Alabama; niece, Vanessa Vesci of Southport, NC; and his loving companion, Ray Cooper of Johnson City , Tenn.

His family and his “puppy dogs” were his great joys in life. Michael loved spending vacations at the beach, his “happy place”, with his family and friends.  He had a special place in his heart for all animals and many dogs were rescued and found a loving home with him. His “fur babies” Gabby and Carson are missing him as well.

Michael was soft hearted and tried to give encouragement and help to those that were suffering.  He worked in the food service industry for any years and enjoyed those times. In later life he was a care giver for Miss Shelia, mother of his best friend Ray.  His smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all those who are left behind. He is finally surrounded by all those who loved him and went before him and his puppies who are joyed to see him again.

A private funeral service will be held with Pastor G. Scott Homesley officiating.

We love you, Mikey.
