MiKayla "Ellie" Hicks

MiKayla Mirielle "Ellie" Hicks, age 6 months, of Abingdon, Va.,went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born to John William Hicks, Jr. and Kayla Deanna Tignor Hicks on December 7, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandfather, Kermit Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Mikayla is also survived by two brothers, Kolby William Hicks and Kamden James Hicks of the home; paternal grandparents, John Hicks, Sr. and Mary Thomas Hicks of Glade Spring, Va.; maternal grandparents, David Wayne Tignor of Bristol, Va. and Deana Yarber Snavely and husband Dewey of Glade Spring, Va.; paternal great grandparents, Margie Thomas and Johnny and Margaret Hicks all of Glade Spring, Va.; maternal great grandparents, Frank and Janet Yarber of Glade Spring, Va. and June and Linda Tignor of Abingdon, Va.; paternal uncles, Cody and Anthony Hicks; maternal aunt, Casey Holmes and husband Coby.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Allen Umbarger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 1275 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, N.Y. 10605.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the NICU at Niswonger Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House of Johnson City, and Kari's Heart Foundation.
