Mildred Little Henderson

Mildred Little Henderson, mother, grandmother and wife, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born in Washington County, Virginia to Ernest B. and Gladys Scyphers Little. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Henderson; mother-in-law Nora Henderson and father-in-law Mont Henderson, sibling Eileen (Charlie) Dye, brothers-in-law Ernest Surber, Ray Henderson, sisters-in-law Evelyn Jones, Opal (Matthew) Henderson; nephew, Wayne Dye.

She is survived by a son, Jerry (Missy) Henderson of Chelsea, Alabama and sister, Kathryn Surber Tate (Marvin) of Abingdon, Virginia. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ross Henderson, Raynor Keller (Jen), Zachary Keller (Satomi), Shane Bates (Kayla), Kasey Bond (Zach Shelly); seven great grandchildren, Blakelee Bates, Reina Keller, Peyson Bates, Kaeden Keller, Waylon Bates, Brooks Shelly, Hudson Bates; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Pastor Dexter Terry officiating. Friends and family are asked to be at the cemetery at 1:45 pm.
