Mildred Akers Johnson

Mildred Johnson, age 93 of Hayters Gap Community and a resident of Grace Health Care of Abingdon, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was a lifelong member of Lindell Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Akers and Maggie Henderson Akers; husband, Otis Johnson; daughter, Joan Bowes; son, Steve Johnson and grandson, David Johnson.
She is survived by three sons, Johnny Johnson (Shelby), Randy Johnson (Lisa) and Terry Johnson; son-in-law, Mike Bowes; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Johnny Farmer officiating.
