Myran's journey was one filled with love, dedication, and service to his country. Myran's life was a testament to the power of love, passion and dedication. His infectious smile and generous heart drew people to him, and he formed lasting relationships with everyone he met.
Myran's life was marked by his commitment to education and sports. He attended Abingdon Elementary School and later graduated from Abingdon High School. During his high school years, he excelled in various sports including track, football, and basketball, leaving a lasting impact on his peers and coaches.
After completing his education, Myran answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Navy. His dedication to duty and honor led him to serve for 15 years with passion and valor. Myran was respected as a dedicated Operation Specialist, his colleagues admired him for his unwavering commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire those around him. Myran's professional life was marked by a passion for his work and genuine care for the well-being of his colleagues and the success of their shared endeavors. Myran's interests and hobbies reflected his love for life. He was an avid football fan, reveling in the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought. His culinary skills were second to none, and he found joy in cooking for his family and friends, often turning simple meals into memorable feasts. Fishing was another of Myran's favorite pastimes, providing him with peaceful moments of reflection and connection to nature. Music filled his home and heart, as he believed in its power to uplift and heal.
Myran will always be remembered for his kindness, strength of character, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife Tonya Austin, their wonderful children Quinton, Brittany, and Myran Jr., who meant the world to him. His role as a father was one he cherished deeply, and he instilled in his children the importance of kindness, hard work and the joy for life. He also leaves behind his grieving parents Patricia and William Austin, brother Michael Austin (Dorothy), sister Sandy King (Maurice), half-brother William Jeffrey Austin, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him.
The live-stream of the service that is being conducted in Tampa will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Please arrive at Farris Main Street Chapel by 9:45am. To acknowledge the memory of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many, a local funeral service will follow the livestream, with Pastor Dwayne Knight and Pastor Darius Bowman officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during this time of remembrance.
Myran Alex Austin may have left this world physically but his spirit lives on in the memories of those who knew him. He will forever be cherished for his warmth, strength, and everlasting love that he shared with all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
