Myrna Jean Skeen

Myrna Jean Skeen, age 69, who departed us on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, is at peace. May her gracious spirit be with us forever!
Jean was born December 7, 1942 in San Francisco, CA and resided in the New Orleans, LA area where she was a manager in the Sears Corporation. After moving to Abingdon, she worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation in the Right-of-Way Division.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Obbie F. Julian and Annis Ruth Edwards Julian.
Survivors include her husband Kyle W. Skeen; son Kyle W. "Kipper" Skeen, II; granddaughter Jordan Ashley Skeen; brother James Julian; daughter-in-law Linda Skeen; nephew James; and many friends.
The family invites everyone to the Celebration of Life for Jean at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012 in the Gathering Room at Farris Cremation & Funeral Center, located at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. There will be a social beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, also in the Gathering Room. Everyone is welcome.
