Myrtle W. Foster, age 91 passed from this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2009.
She had resided most of her life in the Blacksburg Community of Emory, VA and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Foster, a sister, Virginia Milliner and brothers, L. P. White and Robert W. White.
She originally attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and recently attended the Valley Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles P. Foster, Newport News, VA, a granddaughter, Lauren Robinson, Raeford, NC.
The homegoing service will be conducted Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel with Reverend William Austin and Dr. W. A. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Holston Conference Cemetery at Emory, VA.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bowers, Glenn Foster, Donnie Foster, Prince Coleman, Frank Foster, Michael Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Hill, Nathaniel Johnson and Robert Lampkins
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Home.
