Abingdon, Va. – Nancy Carol Jones Holbrook, age 83, of Meadowview, Virginia, passed away at Accordius Health Abingdon, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, after an extended illness. She was born March 22, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Madaline Jones. The best days of Nancy’s life were spent going to church and spending time with husband, Sam.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by son, Jerry King; and twin sister, Norma Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Lee (Sam) Holbrook; two sons: Terry King, and Gordon Swartzel; two daughters: Kathy Swartzel Kurtz, and Debbie Swartzel Frick; two brothers: Ronnie Jones, and Jim Jones; nine grandchildren: Jonathan Rice, Arica Kurtz, Adam Kurtz, Angel Kurtz, Kylene Frick Schucker, Matthew Swartzel, Justin Swartzel, Chasity Swartzel, and Savannah Swartzel; and six great-grandchildren: Dominique Kurtz, Laurali Swartzel, Sabastian Swartzel, Parker Schucker, Payton Schucker, and Aaralyn Swartzel.
