Nathaniel Haynes Jones

Nathaniel Haynes Jones, 94, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon. Mr. Jones was a native of Bristol, VA and a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church since 1952. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the African and European theaters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Millsap Jones.

He is survived by one son, Robert "Bob" Jones and wife Gail of Abingdon and one daughter, Betty Osborne; one brother, Marvin Jones of Martinsville, VA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

Services for Mr. Nathaniel H. Jones will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum with Pastor Kenny Widner officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, 2011, from 6:00-7:00 pm at Farris Funeral Service. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the workers and staff of Grace Healthcare and Southwest VA Hospice.
