Abingdon, VA – Nina Edith Farmer Latham, age 63, passed on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Grace Health Care. She loved the outdoors, to socialize, and was more concerned with others than herself. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Clarence Farmer and Ella Mandy Mae Griffey Farmer, and three sisters. Nina is survived by her daughter, Debbie Latham of Mt. City, TN; two grandsons, Anthony Darrell Greer and Steven Matthew Greer; former mother-in-law, Pauline Latham; former brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donna, Shelia, Ivan, and Larry; special friends, Ruby, Gay, and all of her neighbors at Abingdon Terrace. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2014, at Mt. Rose Cemetery with Pastor Paul Stanley officiating. Pallbearers will be the family and friends. Visitation with the family will be held 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., Monday, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the Nina Latham Memorial Fund, c/o Debbie Latham, 682 Fred Price Road, Mt. City, TN 37683.
