Nora Lee Bays Hayter, age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 3, 2022, in Franklin, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Earl Lee Hayter, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three children; daughter, Brenda Hopkins and husband Jerry, son, Jerry Hayter and wife Lisa, and daughter, Melba Bolling and husband J.C.; as well as three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Nora Lee was born in Maces Springs, VA, to a talented musical family. She loved singing gospel music, playing the piano and organ, as well as her beloved autoharp. While living in the assisted living homes, she started a Sunday hymn-sing where she played keyboards until the pandemic.
Nora Lee was a devoted Christian. She loved her Lord and Savior and her life exemplified such. She loved to talk to the Lord and write poetry expressing His many blessings on her. She was truly blessed!
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Todd Freeman officiating.
