Nora Ball Ray

Meadowview, VA – Nora Jane Ball Ray, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Ray was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a member of Glade Spring Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Lina Whited Ball; husband, Henry Ray; two brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law, Charlie Hess.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her children, Jimmy Ray and wife Debra, Elizabeth Hess, and Justin Ray and wife Susan; sister, Dorothy Hartley; grandson, Charles Ray; great grandchildren, Devonna, Kaley, Charles, II, and Kayden Ray; great-great grandson, Weston Ray; a special niece, Edith Lotts and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
